MAY 2026

Great fun with the family while Terri and Jim were here. So grateful and blessed to have time with the whole family - mostly over delicious meals…

Our farewell breakfast before driving them to sister Cindy’s home in Westfield. She will take them to Bradley Airport tomorrow morning 😞

It was a fun filled, very active time. Our 96 year old mother never missed a beat in keeping up with all of it.

MOTHER’S DAY - today’s church service was especially nice to celebrate mothers. Each mom got a rose and the music was beautiful. Got a lovely hanging plant from each of my kids (and wine) and hugs from all. Randy stopped by for an impromptu jam session with his mama. It was so special.

Spring has sprung - a few of the blooming bushes…

Perry’s Birthday - went to NY for my eye doctor appointment followed by lunch at Mi Ranchero with Nora and Perry for his birthday.

Driver’s license - look who got his license today. Has to wait 6 months before having anyone but household family in the car with him.

Lu has been driving for a couple of months now. Forgot to post a picture…

Proms - Jacob has not gone to a prom yet, but is going to the Lee prom AND Wachonah prom with Gracey. She is from Dalton (Waconah High School), both juniors and both want to be x-ray technicians. Also, both of their Moms are guidance counselors at their school.

Waconah Prom…

Lee Prom…

Leanna’s first prom, too. She is actually on the Stundent Council planning committee and asked Olivia to go with her. Best day of her life!

Ukulele performance - Berkshire Ukulele Band did a fund raiser to benefit the group. It was pretty well attended, including Randy and Kristie. They brought a bouquet of flowers for me ❤️

Opening Camp in Maine - sister Cindy, nephew Johannes, Rich and I were the opening crew this year. We decided to get rid of all the old shades and replaced them with mini-blinds. Rich did a yeoman’s job hanging all 21 of them. Johannes did the heavy work - canoe, wooden benches, patio furniture, etc.

Pool is Open - Memorial Day weekend is the usual time we open the pool. It is often too cold to swim, but one of the grandkids usually jumps in and out. This year Zach was debating, hemming and hawing, taking his time. All of a sudden Leanna stood up and started walking toward the pool. I let Zach know and he rushed to catch her. She beat him by a 1/2 a body. No time for a picture 😩 but we all laughed out heads off!

Birdhouse camera for Mom - with a lotta help from many, we got the solar digital birdhouse set up.

Now we just have to wait for the birds to move in. A gorgeous male Scarlet Tananger swooped in and perched himself on a nearby branch for a brief moment. Sure hope he decides to settle in so we can watch.

Highlawn Farm for ice cream and cows with the church. Zach joined us this year.

After nice conversation with all, we went into the storage shed to find golf equipment of BopBop’s to up Z’s game. He came away with a pull cart, 3 wedges, and lots of golf balls.

Finally finished the blanket i was crocheting for him on the road trip to Florida…
