Apricity West 3

November 25, 2022 - Friday
Lazy, quiet day after line dancing - then to the Elks Lodge per usual for Friday night.

November 26, 2022 - Saturday
Went into Wickenburg for the Gem Show and a little more Christmas shopping.

Fluorescent Rick’s under a black light…

Rare colorful Fall tree in Wickenburg.

Gary Hawley stopped by - he and Rich were sitting outside visiting. I greeted him and was off to the clubhouse to work on a puzzle for a while. When I came back, Gary was gone but had left an Amazon Fire tablet for me. He has a friend who has a lot of technical equipment who gifted it to me to use while participating in the jam. What a giving thing to do - Gary for checking and his friend for giving it away…

November 27, 2022 - Sunday
Went swimming with Nancy and then checked out her new home’s progress. Look what was laying dead in the parking lot - he was quite small actually…

November 28, 2022 - Monday
Dancing, cardio drumming, and a special treat! Denny and Harvey have offered to work with me in preparation for the next jam session. Bless them - they know not what they do.

November 29, 2022 - Tuesday
Cleaned our little casa while Rich went to Wickenburg Art Club with Tom. Then practiced on the ukulele and added songs to my repertoire! Look what arrived today - our new 100 watt amplifier with 4 plug ins.

November 30, 2022 - Wednesday
Line danced, then went to the Elks for lunch. Then I "plugged in” while practicing… the poor neighbors.

And today his u-bass arrived - another challenge! Gorgeous instrument…

December 1, 2022 - Thursday
Found out that Dottie Barry from line dancing and cardio drumming is learning ukulele, so Joanne asked her to join us today. By the way, Dottie turned 80 this summer - she sports a T-shirt that says, “Dottie is 80, FTLOG.” I asked her what it stood for and she said For The Love of God.

Turns out that Joanne had a cough so Dottie and I practiced at her 5th wheel. She had some songs that I liked and tried out at the jam session, which was a little better experience than the last time.

Miss Ellie has such a rich, velvety voice.

A big turnout today! Fun times - see the video in the body of the email…

Friday sunrise…

A stand off!
