March 7, 2025 - Friday
Cold, wet and windy today, but I bundled up and walked between the rain drops. The rain is very much needed here so we are glad to have it. Went over to T&J’s to play music, discuss life in general and enjoy potato sausage soup with cornbread. We did weigh in this morning - Rich did great; I did not!

HAPPY 75th BIRTHDAY to Sister Cindy ❤️
After walking, went over to Terri and Jim's for a fun-filled day - starting with La Frida Restaurant. Wow! What an amazing place.
Really like this feature - a sampling of their sauces before you order your entree:
The food presentation was incredible and delicious too. Enchiladas Mole…
Chicken Flautas
Shrimp Tacos
It turns out that the owner was featured in tucsonfoodie for Women’s History Month:
Then we went on a mystery ride and ended up at Agua Caliente Park - the same park we went to for a picnic last year, but this time we were able to go inside the little museum there. It has been lived in by numerous owners and goes back to the 1200’s - artifacts like arrowheads and clay bowls that were found when they excavated the land to build a spa area for visitors coming down from Wyoming to stay.
The dining room below was the original building - you can see how thick the adobe walls are between rooms.
The owner at the time wanted to feed guests properly, so installed THREE 1950’s kitchens. Pretty cool.
Sat on the island bench gazing at the ducks and turtles who are plentiful on this pond.
The Lee High Wildcat Girls won their bid to get into the Final Four of the MIAA (Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association)! Leanna, who just turned 16 yo, is on the team - PROUD MOMENT! In Lee, when the sports teams win big, it is customary to have a parade down Main Street of firetrucks and tow trucks honking and blowing sirens with the team on a flat bed. The town comes out for it every time. My kids had the same winning experience when they were in high school sports.

Windy today for my walk, but it feels good to get it done. Went to Rio Vista Park for Ukulele group for two hours to practice for our performance on 3/19/25.
Then over to Terri and Jim’s for Margaritas followed by yummy Margarita chicken and rice.
March 10, 2025 - Monday
Gorgeous day today. Walked as usual. We had grapefruit right from T&J’s tree for breakfast. Rich made a nice salad for lunch. Terri came over to work on a special project with me - to be disclosed later.
March 11, 2025 - Tuesday
Pat came over and we walked the bike trail for 2 miles. It was gorgeous and a lot of bikers shared it with us! Noticed these tiles for the first time...
Hand painted tiles…
Rich and I practiced our music. Then I worked on the baby blanket.
March 12, 2025 - Wednesday
It rained throughout the night which was lovely, but I woke up at 2am drowning in my CPAP due to allergies. Sneezed, on and on and slept a little with open mouth. Still managed to get out of bed by 6:30. Grocery shopped at Fry’s - light this week, but included Corned Brisket for St. Patrick’s day boiled dinner. Took a shorter than usual walk - feel like I’m lacking oxygen and energy after the night I had.
Watched the Wildcat girls play streaming. They put up a good fight, but the team they played had a 24-0 record coming in. They are big, fast and strong. Our team is young and not so tall. They can hold their heads high making it this far.
March 13, 2025 - Thursday
We weighed in today as we are going to lunch at Ba-Dar again (Terri’s maiden voyage)… and then the long St. Pat's weekend. Pat and I got our 2-mile walk in first.
Terri was impressed with our new find. Then we went to her place to work on music and a project.
Never heard of Margarita Chicken Soup. Sounds interesting.
